International Students Visa UK: Changes to UK Tier 4 Student Visa:
The old Tier 4 (General) Student visa will be replaced by the so-called “Student Route” as of October 4, 2020. The UK has a new student visa, the Student Route, that will also be open to EEA nationals. Before Brexit, these individuals could study in the UK without a permit.
According to the British Government, the new Student Visa scheme allows an unlimited number of students to be granted visas. The following are a few of the major modifications to the UK Student Visa that became effective on October 5, 2020:
- The Student Route (for students over 18) and the Child Student Route are separated from it (for students aged 4-17, which has replaced the Tier 4 Child Student Visa).
- If they arrive in the nation after January 1, 2021, citizens of the EU/EEA must additionally apply for visas.
- Instead of three months, you can apply for a student visa up to six months before classes begin.
- You must amass 70 points.
- Graduates from British universities who will graduate by or after the summer of 2021 are eligible to apply for a postgraduate visa, allowing them to work or look for work for up to two years.
Under the Tier 4 Student Visa, other requirements, including English proficiency and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), remain the same.

A student visa application is required if you plan to enter the UK after January 1, 2021. You must apply for the EU Settlement Scheme if you are present in the UK as of January 1, 2021.

UK Visa Requirements For International Students:
If you have been accepted into one of the following programmes, you may be able to get a student visa for the UK:
- An intensive lower-division course (more than 15 hours per week of study). It covers apprenticeships, the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree, or A levels (essentially the final two years of high school). It is called the RQF level 3, 4, or 5.
- A full-time programme leading to a degree or a certificate above a degree.
- A postgraduate course of study recognised for doctors or dentists
- A course in English at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages level B2 or higher.
